The Oude Gracht domain is a castle estate located on the border between Kapellen and Brasschaat.

The project builds upon the old horse stables. These were largely destroyed during the war. Later, the remains were converted into a residence to replace the castle, which was completely demolished after the war because of its poor condition.
Several renovations later, nothing valuable remains of the horse stables and another sequel is created.
The house will be subservient to the landscape and its local building traditions. Classic materials are combined with contemporary detailing, seeking understated comfort.
