Cobra House

After Cobra City, Cobra House forms the second chapter of the Cobra story in Antwerp. Gestalt was in charge of the complete interior design, working closely with Cobra’s team. The project is located on Markgravelei, in a former rectory villa with garden that was renovated and expanded by developer Vlassak Verhulst.

In the spaces of the original villa, a bar and salon were decorated as an eclectic mix of elements from the ’60s and ’70s, complemented by contemporary touches and artwork that give it a sexy identity. In the extension is an open kitchen with restaurant, characterized by an impressive yellow ceiling with grids in afromosia. Inset sofas complete the interior and are paired with classic French bistro tables, creating a relaxed, cosmopolitan atmosphere.

That atmosphere continues outside: the incorporated benches flow seamlessly into an impressive covered terrace overlooking the beautiful park garden, landscaped by Sigbert Van Reeth. All zones connect in a natural and casual way, each with its own character. The result is a total experience where interior, art and outdoor space merge into one harmonious whole – exactly what makes Cobra House a unique place in the city.
