Located in a wooded area and surrounded by Zandbergen Park, the design is based on a pavilion typology: the building is supported by the landscape and takes an intuitive form within it.

The volume is composed of two layers and a crown floor. An open plan creates a free spaciousness. Two bracketed cores organize the whole.

The facades are always divided into multiple facets. In this way, the building appropriates scale. The horizontal character is emphasized through a massive plinth, bacon layer and cornice in concrete. A black plank texture according to traditional composition completes the materiality.

The plinth is recessed so that the building does not seem to touch the landscape directly, as a noble gesture in relation to its surroundings.

The crown is conceived as an illuminated expression of the primary building levels, stripped of any ornament.

Wildflowers naturally reaching up to the building complete the scene.
