On the one hand, there are the typical three-story bell-floor houses with rather flat facades and concrete canopies. On the other hand, the late modernist villas of two storeys and a roof storey. These articulations from the surroundings are translated with the City Palaces into a duo of two floors with a crown floor above each.
Eleven spacious residential units are created with a particular focus on integration and plan development.

The front yard mediates between neighboring buildings through a staggered and folding building line. There is an anomalous situation on the left where there is a carriage house with a barn up to the building line, on the right a villa with a front yard of one five to six meters.

Both front and rear facades are divided into different facets, which give the different entrances, outdoor rooms and views their own direction and identity within the larger whole. Interior spaces enjoy an ingeniously fanned plan of interconnected spaces and a comfortable ambiance. The specific facade and crown articulation orchestrate the volume in its immediate and less immediate surroundings.

The various residential units enjoy a specific relationship to the outdoor environment: ground-level units have a garden terrace, higher-level units include indoor outdoor rooms, and on the crown floor there are spacious roof terraces. Each time, they exist as a mediator between building, user and environment.
